Sun Moon Beach Resort

This year, we chose to celebrate my birthday here. It’s where we planned to celebrate the birthday of Jon, our nephew, last month; but, it was spoiled by typhoon “Cosme”. It is located in Bagac in the southwestern part of Bataan. We have been in this part of Bataan several times but in another and farther place - in Barangay Saysain. Sun Moon is just after the renowned Montemar Beach Resort and along the way to Saysain.

The water is shallow with mild waves. The sand is not white; and, there are rocky portions. The place is cheap – P800 a day for the hut we rented and P50 entrance fee per head. We just rented a hut and pitched three tents for the overnight stay. I slept in the car but the place is infested with mosquitoes. You can bring and cook food there.

Here are some pictures of the place taken during our visit there:

San Fabian Beach

At the San Fabian beach, we spent three days during the Holy Week. San Fabian is a third class municipality of the province of Pangasinan, Philippines and is about five hours from Metro Manila. The beach though not comparable to well-known beaches in the Philippines, such as Boracay, Pagudpud, Bantayan Island in Cebu, Bohol for their white sands, is being frequented by the Pangasinenses, visitors from neighboring provinces and from Metro Manila. The sand is black; and the water not pristine clear. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay there. We enjoyed not only the sun, sand and but the waves as well.
