Elite no more

I just received my new Philippine Airlines Mabuhay Miles ID card downgrading my membership from Elite to Base Member effective March 1, 2008.

I have been an Elite Member since 2006. But last year, I did not meet the qualifications to preserve my Mabuhay Miles Elite Membership. I needed to travel at least 30 short trips to qualify again; but, I made 20 short trips only. Thus, by March 1, 2008, I can’t avail of the following benefits of being an Elite member anymore:

Tier-based bonus accrual of Miles
You’ll receive a 25% bonus on actual miles flown for all flights on PAL and Air Philippines (AP).

Automatic lounge access
You may relax in comfort prior to your flight departure in Mabuhay Lounges as well as participating VIP Lounges at selected international airports when traveling on PAL, AP and PAL Code-share flights using a PAL ticket.

Exclusive member reservations numbers
Special PAL reservation hotlines are dedicated to handle your flight reservations.

Priority reservation waitlist
If you’re on the waitlist for a flight on PAL and AP, you’ll be accorded priority when seats become available.

Priority check-in, boarding, luggage handling
You may check-in, board the plane, and collect luggage ahead of others on PAL and AP flights.

Priority airport standby
If you’re on standby for a fully booked PAL or AP flight at the airport, you’ll be given a higher priority for a seat on the next available flight.

Additional luggage allowance
You’ll receive an additional luggage allowance of ten (10) kg flying on PAL and AP operated flights (except to/from US and Canada).

SportsPlus Global and partner privileges
You’ll be entitled to the equivalent privileges of SportsPlus Global, including additional luggage allowance for sports equipment, and exclusive discounts and perks at participating partner outlets.

Extension of award ticketing time limit
You may hold award travel flight reservations for 4 days instead of the usual three (3) days.

As as Base Member, the only benefit is the accumulation of points for free flights and service class upgrades to destinations of your choice.

But choosing which lender and what type of mortgage loan to take is quite confusing and stressful. Debt Collection

How many and how much debts your company has not able to collect or still pursuing to collect but with no assurance? Uncollected debts, especially those that are long overdue could hurt your company finances and affect your operations. Normally, companies try to exhaust all avenues to collect to avoid incurring additional expenses and to maintain the relationship with their clients. And, if worse comes to worst, they would finally engage a traditional collection agency. This decision would mean slashing as much as 50% of the collectibles and put their relationship with the clients at risk. You may collect but lose the business. Who wants bad clients anyway?

But wait! There is another option. Engage the services of American Profit Recovery (APR) for your Debt Collection . APR has developed outsourcing solutions that have been proven very effective. Its approach is cost effective and diplomatic. It offers the following solutions:

  • Tier I- Flexible Solution – For collection in the early collection cycle for as low as $5.00 per account
  • Tier II – Firm Recovery Solution – for older accounts with higher recovery rates

With APR, you could collect faster, increased you cash flows, increased efficiency, and still do business with your clients.

It also offers additional services, such as the state of the art skiptracing, free credit bureau reporting, and legal options as the last resort when other alternatives have been exhausted but futile. APR does not charge court or attorney fees in advance. You would only pay when funds are collected.

97 - FREE

Baby KJ

Baby LV

Babies, I could say, are the luckiest creatures on earth. They are loved and taken care of. I love but envy them; because they are still FREE from worries, responsibilities, and problems. If they are hungry or not feeling well, they would just cry; and their parents would do everything to satisfy them.

I'd like to become baby again and be FREE again from worries, responsibilities, and problems.

ePayday Loans

Most of us have experienced cash shortage before the next payday. I have experienced the same predicament too. And, it’s not a good experience if you have no one to borrow money from, especially if the money is to be used for emergency purpose or urgent matters. Your option may be to sell personal properties lower than their values. However, there is no guarantee that they could be sold sooner. But wait! There is the better option – the Online Payday Loans. ePayday loans will help you bridge the gap between paydays in three quick and easy steps: a) completely fill out the online form now; 2) check you email; and 3) receive your cash tomorrow and spend it for whatever purpose.

ePayday loans are available to U.K. residents only who are 18 years and older, currently employed, have a bank account where the salary is directly remitted, have a cheque book and cheque guarantee card. The maximum amount that can be loaned is £800. Processing of your loan application is quick as there is no credit check to be done and no faxing of documents. Even if you have poor credit history, you would not encounter any problem as long as you meet the qualifications and your funds could cover the loan amount and interest on you next paydate.

Different kind of pizza

While in Cebu City yesterday, a friend treated me to a different kind of pizza, which according to him can be found only in a pizzeria in this city.

The pizzeria offers different pizza creations. We ordered my friend’s favorite pizza creations: the half round pizza called “Calzone” and the whole round pizza called “Pizza Chavelli” (double faced pizza). Normally, a pizza is an oven baked crust (thick or thin) or pan, round or square shaped, with toppings on it. The pizza creations we ordered, however, have no toppings but fillings. The fillings are basically the same as the toppings used in other popular pizza: tomato, ham, green pepper, button mushroom, pineapple, etc. The sauce used in these pizza is white.

Pizza Chavelli

The pizzeria also serves the traditional pizza. I liked these pizza; so, I brought home one Pizza Chavelli. My kids liked it too.

PhotoHunt 96 : Heavy

Heavy is this week's theme. While boarding my plane yesterday morning, I saw the plane and thought of making it my subject for this theme.

Commercial Passengers Airplanes are no doubt very HEAVY. Despite their heft and even with hundreds of passengers and tons of cargoes in them, they can still fly. Thanks to the Wright brothers - Orville and Wilbur.

This is the picture of the Boeing 747-400, which I took from Manila to Cebu City yesterday. The passengers of this plane had HEAVY feelings because our flight was delayed by about one hour and a half. Snacks and drinks were served to these passengers to lighten their feelings.

Fine Art Storage

Some of our possessions; such as portraits, paintings, sculptures, antiques, etc.; are so precious, valuable, priceless, and irreplaceable that we want to protect them from damage – not even a small scratch or dent. We must preserve and keep them always in good order condition and safe at all costs. There are instances, however, that we need to ship, store, or display these items. To ensure that these items would remain safe and intact, we must entrust them to “someone” who is knowledgeable and experienced in handling the delicate job.

PhotoHunt 95 : Narrow

Another day with the theme "NARROW". I had a hard time looking for my subject for this theme. From my photo files, I think this is the most appropriate.

Baguio City is the summer capital of the Philippines and is known as the City of Pines. It is a highly urbanized city, with about 49 square kilometers and an elevation of about 5,000 feet above sea level. It is about 4 to 6 hours away from Manila, depending on the time and day of your travel. There are three main arteries going to and from Baguio City: Kennon Road, Marcos Highway, and Naguilian Road. Of the three, Kennon Road is the NARROWest, the windest, with sharpest curves, the steepest, and the most dangerous due to frequency of landslide.

The Kennon Road from the View Deck

Despite of Kennon Road's conditions, I still use it on my way up to and down from Baguio City; because it is the shortest, the most exciting and thrilling way, and with less vehicles traversing. Buses, trucks and other heavy vehicles are prohibited from using this road. And, most drivers prefer Marcos Highway.

Drive traffic to your blog effectively

There are millions of websites and blogsites currently active over the internet; and thousands are being created and published everyday. With these numbers, it is very difficult for your blog and contents to stand out. Thus, it is very important to create and drive traffic to your blog.

Buzzfuse is a content marketing service that helps content creators market their contents effectively by expanding their reach, deepening their interaction with their audience, and providing reports that help you understand your market and what they do with your contents. Buzzfuse also helps consumers easily find the stuff they are searching for. I think this is a great way of driving traffic to your blog. Thus, I already registered with its free service to try it. To get more hits, a premium service at reasonable price is also available.
