Cisco can change your life

Several years ago, I was offered several opportunities to change my career to IT. I would be sent to an IT school to study and train. At that time, however, my interest was in another field; so, I let them passed.

As years went by, I saw friends and relatives have gone or changed into IT careers. The changes in their careers changed their lives. Some relatives and good friends are currently holding juicy positions in big companies with higher income, bonuses and perks. Some have traveled almost around the world. A nephew, an IT consultant, who just arrived from abroad has shown us albums of his pictures in every country he visited.

The global demand for IT professionals at all levels are increasing and the opportunities are unbounded. So, if you are looking for a better career, think IT. And, if you are into it, advance or enhance it. How?

Register in Cisco Learning Network, a social learning network, to enhance and advance your IT career. You can join the exciting discussions on how to advance your IT career and learn about the future of the networking technology. Get a Cisco certification and stand out from the crowd. It offers certifications for Entry, Associate, Professional, Expert, and Specialist. With Cisco certification, you can change your life for the better.

Cisco Learning Center provides wealth of information for extended technology and business knowledge. It provides a larger context for certification know-how. The vital information you would find here could accelerate your IT career. The technology library provides topics on data center, IP routing, networking fundamentals, network management, optical networking, router, among other things. The business library has topics on communication & interpersonal skills, business collaboration, vendor relations, small/medium business, and general management resources.

Now, I am wondering why I did not grab the opportunity to shift to IT career. I am happy with my current job but could have been happier had I changed to IT career. It is never too late. I can still shift to IT career anytime I wish.

LASIK information

Having problems with your eye sight? There is good news for you - the LASIK technology. It is the popular vision correction procedure available today. Recently, the FDA met to reaffirmed the LASIK’s safety and success. Based on scientific data, 95.4% of LASIK patients worldwide are satisfied with the results. This is the most studied medical procedures and is already well established and has an exceptional track record, according to Kerry D. Solomon M.D. Dr. Solomon is a world-renowned ophthalmologist and refractive surgeon at the Storm Eye Institute. He adds, “Today’s modern LASIK delivers superior safety and better visual results than ever before.” It uses 3D mapping and customized treatment for the 1st all-laser technology, which have been approved by the US Military and NASA on their personnel including the pilots and astronauts.

If you are considering this surgical procedure, you should research and learn about LASIK information. Talk to people and look for good physicians. Not everyone is a candidate. Only an average 20 – 25% of people are eligible. You are not eligible if you have thin, irregularly shaped corneas or unrealistic expectations. There is an estimated two-hour examination to be done, which includes 3-D mapping, customized wave-front measurements of your eye and an examination of your corneas.

If you are eligible, this surgical procedure is fast and almost painless. You may experience minor but not serious complications such as dry eye, halos and double vision. But these can be resolved over time or by enhancement or therapy.

With the above information I learned, I am considering this surgical procedure for my eye problem.

WaMu Checking Accounts

When I first opened a bank account, it was a savings account. It’s because I wanted my money to earn interest and its maintaining balance is lower. Most checking accounts do not earn interests and have higher maintaining balance.

But, later on, I realized the necessity of having a checking account. One advantage of a checking account is the convenience for paying my bills. Instead of going to the bank and withdrawing money, all I have to do is simply write a check. It could also serve as guarantees for future payments.

Unlike in the old days, checking account is no longer accessible by check only. Most banks nowadays offer ATM cash withdrawals, which is more convenient for the account holders.

If you do not have a checking account yet; and you think you need one, you may check WaMu’s checking accounts and find which one is right for you. Presently, it offers two checking accounts:

WaMu Free Checking Account. You get great free services and, best of all, there is no monthly fee. Plus, you get free ATM cash withdrawals (foreign and domestic), free checks for life, and a free Gold Debit MasterCard with Rewards.

WaMu Platinum Checking Account. This is right for you if you maintain a higher checking balance and wanted your money to earn interest. You also get free ATM cash withdrawals (foreign and domestic) and other free services PLUS relationship discounts.

Tuguegarao Cathedral

I have been to Tuguegarao City several times in the past years. But, I had never been at the Tuguegarao Cathedral; though, I had seen it twice from afar.

Last July 12, the wedding of my nephew, Ronelle, was celebrated in Tuguegarao Cathedral; and, I had the opportunity to be in the cathedral. This cathedral is also known as the Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral.

Lian: "Granny, can I ask you a difficult question?"

Granny: "Sure!"

Lian : "Granny, what IS that?"

A Beauty Taste

Pond's hosted a party for bloggers and their girl friends last Friday night at the Taste Asia. It was dubbed as, "A Taste of Beauty at Taste Asia". The rains failed to stop the bloggers and their guests from coming. It was a successful party with plenty of food, drinks, and fun.

Why would Pond's, or any sponsor for that matter, treat a bunch of bloggers and their friends to a party. And, this was not an ordinary and cheap party. I believe that blogs, nowadays, are the best vehicles in promoting and advertising consumers' products or services. And, bloggers are the best and effective endorsers. Do you agree?

Since Pond's sponsored this party, I am reciprocating by plugging its new products in this blog. Its NEW POND'S age miracle products would make you "look younger in 7 days". Whoa! Unbelievable? Then, I suggest you try them and see for yourself. And by the way, get a chance to win an IPhone or two and more. Join SM Hypermarket’s Blog Writing Contest “myPond’s 7-Day Beauty Blog”. Good luck!

And, here are some pictures of the party:
