Dr. Jose P. Rizal's Birthday

Today, we are commemorating the date of birth of Dr. Jose P. Rizal - the Philippine's National Hero and pride of Malayan race. He was born on June 19, 1861, or 147 years ago, in the town of Calamba, Laguna. He was the seventh child of eleven children of Francisco Mercado and Teodora Alonzo Rizal.
