December 1 is internationally recognized as the World AIDS Day.
This is the 19
th anniversary of this awareness program.
Everyone should be reminded that HIV/AIDS remains a serious disease. No cure has been developed yet; and awareness and prevention is the best defense against its transmission and spread.

For 2007 and 2008 World AIDS Day, the theme is “leadership” and the campaign slogan is "Stop AIDS. Keep the Promise".
