I'm spreading the news. I got this from Philippine Heart Association * Philippine College of Cardiology.

The World Heart Day is celebrated simultaneously in 100 countries every 4th Sunday of September to promote awareness, reduction and prevention and primary care of cardiovascular disease. This year, it's on September 28. And, the theme is "Do you know your risk? It's a call to action to help people better understand their personal risk for cardiovascular disease, including hypertension, the silent killer.

In the Philippines, the Philippine Heart Association (PHA) will hold the celebration at The Arena in San Juan City from 7:00 a.m. to 12 noon.

The activities lined up for the half-day celebration are Risk Factor Screening, Aerobics Exercise,
Basic Life Support Demonstration, Games, Signing of Joint Declaration for Healthy City, the holding of the The Healthy Hearts Cheer-Dance Competition, and the announcement of winners for Healthy Hearts Video Contest and the Healthy Hearts Photo Contest.
