First Mayor Win Gatchalian Cup 2008

Valenzuela City launches the 1st Mayor WIN Gatchalian Invitational Fun Fishing Tournament on April 20 and May 6, 2008.

The competition will be held in two separate venues – Barangay Coloong on April 20 and Barangay Tagalag on May 6. Prizes include:

• CHAMPION : Trophy plus P10,000.00
• 2nd Place : Trophy plus P7,000.00
• 3rd Place : Trophy plus P5,000.00
• *PLUS OTHER SPECIAL AWARDS

Valenzuela City Mayor Sherwin Gatchalian says, “we are holding this fishing tournament to promote tourism in our City. Valenzuela, particularly the Polo area, is known to be a fishing town. We have a lot of fishponds in several barangays that are ideal for fishing sport. We are hoping that this tournament will attract more fishing enthusiasts to visit here.”
