PhotoHunt 109 - ANY Photo

PhotoHunters
This week's PhotoHunt theme, ANY photo, seemed easy. But, I was wrong because I had difficulty choosing what picture/s to share. From the many pictures I considered, I just selected the following:

She is my mother. We fondly call her "Mamang". I chose this picture as tomorrow is Mother's Day. And, I want to greet her, my wife, my sisters, and all the mothers a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY.

Beating the summer heat

One hot Friday, we planned on going some place to beat the summer heat. River water is definitely cooler than sea water; so we decided to head to a nearby province and looked for a river resort. We found one in Nagcarlan, Laguna. The resort is not one of the best but it could serve our purpose – to beat the summer heat.

I am sharing some pictures of the river:

Good news for horror movie fans

I have mentioned in my earlier post the good news for scary movie fans - the newest horror movie, entitled the Frontier(s). It will be shown in select theaters this May 9, 2008, or four days from now. The movie is uncut, controversial, and unrated. Despite being unrated it is exceptional; hence it will be shown in theaters unlike most of the unrated movies that did not get to the theaters. From the Trailer that I have previewed, I believe it is really a good horror movie that I and my wife are going to enjoy. I know horror movie lovers would enjoy watching it too. Check the theater listing and see which theater is nearest to your place.
Unknown

My wife loves to watch it on the first day of showing. And, since this is another horror movie, she would not watch it without me because she thought I am not frightened. I am too; but, as much as possible, I do not show that I am. After watching the Frontier(s), I know that she would also buy the unrated and uncut DVD, after they are released on May 13, 2008. It’s her hobby to collect DVD of her favorite movies, especially the horror movies, for her DVD library.

Check the site to watch the trailer and see the listing of select theaters; then mark you calendar.

Koreans in the Philippines

I’ve been to Subic Bay Freeport Zone several times in the past months. I just noticed that there are now more Koreans all over the place. I also noticed that they have constructed a big community church inside the zone.

Also, I noticed that the zone's street signs have Korean translation.

In Metro Manila and in other areas, Koreans are also very visible – in malls, restaurants, bars, etc. I understand that most of them are here as tourists to study English. More Koreans or other foreigners, for that matter, in the country mean more income from tourism.

Welcome to our country!

What makes you scared?

What makes you scared? For me, good horror movies can do the trick. If I watch one, I could feel the scariness deep within me. And, sometimes, it gives me nightmare. Nonetheless, I still love to watch horror movies; as I am enjoying it.

If you like horror movies too, there is good news for you – I mean, for us. There is the newest Horror movie – the “Frontier(s)”. And, it will be shown soonest. I have already visited the website and watched the short trailer. I tell you. It is really scary and gory and it got me excited. I know my wife, who is also a horror movie lover just like me, would love this new horror movie. So, when I got home, I told her about it. She immediately opened her laptop and watched the trailer. I could see from her reactions that she likes it.

For you horror movie lovers out there, the uncut and unrated version will be shown in select theaters on May 9, 2008. If you want to watch it at the comfort of your home, the uncut and unrated DVD will be released on May 13, 2008. Most unrated movies do not get to the theaters; but “Frontier(s)” is one of the exceptional unrated movies, which found it way to the theaters. This horror movie is written and directed by Xavier Gens and is starred by Karina Testa, Aurelien Wiik, Patrick Ligardes, David Saracino, Maud Forget, Samuel Le Bihan and Estelle Lefebure.

I highly recommend this horror movie.

PhotoHunt: 108 - Time

PhotoHunters
This week's Photo Hunt theme is TIME.

How important really is the TIME that we always watch it? We always wear a timepiece called WATCH in our wrist to enable us to watch the TIME anyTIME. Despite of this, clocks can be seen in almost anywhere - we have several in our homes, in offices, in buildings, in towers, in the cars, in our mobile phones, in televisions, in computers, etc.

It is so important that we must be on TIME always. They say, "TIME is gold". Busy people have no TIME but always double TIME. To some, TIME flies so fast. Others who have spare TIME, kill the TIME. Whatever we do with the time, it will always pass by and never come back.

Here is my latest mobile phone - a Nokia E90 showing the TIME digitally (it was 7:48 pm).

Sometimes, I don't wear my wrist watch anymore but rely on my mobile phone for the TIME.
